The Museum of Hidden Beauty
Freya Bolton
The Museum of Hidden Beauty is a Museum displaying a range of collections by different artists. Mine being a collection of art based on the Renaissance era. The museum has been created in my garden shed, and explores themes of hidden beauty through the use of my own paintings and sculptures amongst the unsightly garden equipment. The painting I have focussed on from the Renaissance era is "Primavera" by Botticelli. This museum is decorated in the style of the painting, using stand out details in the painting, such as fruit and silk, to set the scene and make the museum into an experience for the viewer. Other artists exhibited in this museum include Sam Taylor Wood, Susan Collis, Marcel Duchamp, Kareema Munassar and more, all exploring the theme of Hidden Beauty.
